Wulffgirl Bolts Home For 3rd

Monday, June 20, 2016 - 5:05 PM

Wulffgirl, a horse owned by a number of long term East Perth sponsors and members, raced for the first time in Northam last Thursday finishing 3rd.

Owing to an administrative problem she wasn’t able to race in the mighty blue and black colours, but this will shortly be rectified before her next start.

To pick her up in running, she is in the predominantly yellow colours, and settles well back in the middle stages, on the inside of the grey horse.

She stormed home for 3rd, a quite remarkable effort for the first time at the races, and competing against horses who were all older and more experienced than her.

She is bred to stay, her sire having been placed in an English Derby, so look for her to improve as her distances get longer.

Hopefully she will prove as tough and courageous on the track as her namesake is in the footy field!

Watch her race below.
