Round 15 Preview

Friday, July 1, 2016 - 9:29 AM

East Perth have a mammoth task ahead of them, taking on top dogs South Fremantle at their home ground at Community Bank Stadium this Saturday.

If the Royals can muster a win against the Bulldogs, the finals race remains open for the boys in black and blue come August. Coming of a bye last week East Perth are expected to come out all guns blazing and motors fully charged.

With one of their toughest games to date, East Perth have pooled together one of their best starting line-ups this season. Co-captain Craig Wulff returns from injury and adds some experience to the Royals forward line alongside big man Fraser McInnes. Followers Liam Duggan and Jack Redden also come back into the starting 22 for the centre bounce. After a stand out performance in the Reserves Nathan Blee regains his place and will share half back amongst a strong defensive unit in Xaiver Ellis, Mitchell Fraser and Eric Mackenzie. Mitch Lague and Tom Gorter have slotted into the defensive unit nicely. It is a good test for East Perth's back line against the top side in the competition.

The Reserves will look to wrestle their spot on top of the ladder in their top of the table clash. There will be plenty of talent on show from both teams in what promises to be one of the games of the season in the Reserves.

The Colts will be looking to claim a big scalp against the 2nd placed South Fremantle Colts. After an impressive performance against League leaders Perth a fortnight ago the youngest Royals will be looking to finish the home and away season strongly

Round 15 will see some of East Perth's strongest sides going into one of their most definitive rounds of the season. Good luck boys!
