Around the Grounds Round 5

Claremont and South Fremantle head to Albany this Saturday for Round 5 of the WAFL with clahes also set to unfold at Lathlain Park and Steel Blue Oval. On Sunday East Perth and Peel Thunder battle it out at Leederville before the AFL Western Derby showdown at Optus Stadium.

There will be heaps happening around the grounds including fun zones, pop-up food and beverage outlets and competitions for the whole family. Check out what you can get involved in at the footy this weekend.

Claremont v South Fremantle - Centennial Stadium Albany - Saturday 2.15pm

This Saturday the Tigers take on the Bulldogs at Centennial Stadium in Albany. The City of Albany has kindly offered Claremont Football Club members who have registered their interest in attending the clash, the following benefits:

  • Complimentary entry on game day (Member pass must be shown)
  • Reserved seating (grandstand) and stadium parking
  • 25% discount on entry to the National Anzac Centre (member pass must be shown)
  • An invitation to the post-match awards presentation, and
  •  an amazing South Coast Welcome Pack.

There will be a number of activities taking place around the ground, including a bouncy castle and face painting for the kids. It’s set to be a great day out for the entire family, so be sure to get down to Centennial Stadium to cheer on the Tigers!

Perth v West Perth - Lathlain Park - Saturday 2.15pm

Make your way to Lathlain Park this Saturday to witness the Demons clash with the Falcons from 2.15pm.

There are heaps of activities happening at the game, especially for the kids at the Demons Kids Zone! The zone will feature a bouncy castle, free face painting and an ice-cream van. Kids can also take part in the half-time running races where there will be great prizes up for grabs.

A free bike raffle for children 15 years and under will also be running. Simply fill out a raffle ticket on entry.
Make sure to check out the drink and food options at the three bars located at the venue including the Bar on the Hill, Demon Den, and Redlegs.

Swan Districts v East Fremantle - Steel Blue Oval - Saturday 2.15pm

Grab the clan and head to Steel Blue Oval this Saturday to witness the Swans take on the Sharks and soak up the local footy atmosphere. The Swans Kids Playzone will be in full swing once again with heaps of fun activities planned for the little ones including bouncy castles, face painting, handball targets and much more!

The club is also giving away 50 mini swans footies, which the League players will kick into the crowd as they run out onto the ground.

There will be a handball competition at quarter-time of the League match and then at half time the 'Bin It, to Win it!' competition will take place with a $100 prize up for grabs for the first person to kick the footy into the bin.

East Perth v Peel Thunder - Leederville Oval - Sunday 11.30am
