AGM and 2015 Board Elections

Monday, February 9, 2015 - 9:53 AM

Sunday the 8th of February was the date for the East Perth Annual General Meeting for the 2014 season.

President Bronte Howson was re-elected unopposed for the 17th year. This makes Bronte our 3rd longest sitting President behind Tom Guthrie (20 years) and Fred Book (18 years). Long serving Director Joe Barbaro was re-elected unopposed for the 17th year. Directors Brain Bowley and Alan Quartermaine were re-elected unopposed for their 3rd terms.

The club was pleased to announce a profit of $356,083 for the 2014 season. This follows a profit $98,229 in 2013.

Total turnover for the 2014 season was $2,033,328.

These results come on the back of tight budgetary measures implemented by the Board. Whilst these measures are in place, the Club has still managed to improve our Member's facilities as well as upgrade our player's gym and install a wet recovery area for all East Perth players to use.

President Bronte Howson said 'While the improvements are necessary to maintain and improve the amenity of the Club for the players, members and supporters, it is notable that the club has still managed to work within strict cost controls and reduce overall expenditure.'

This outstanding financial result coincides with the club's Minor Premiership, Grand Final and Foxtel Cup Semi Final appearance.
