East Perth Corporate Golf Day
Tuesday the 14th of April saw the East Perth Football Club hold our annual Corporate Golf Day at the pristine Joondalup Resort Golf Course. After a week of wind and rain, any concerns about bad weather quickly dissipated on arrival with all 100 players being greeted with perfect golfing conditions.
The day was won by the combined team of Subaru Wangara and Nuford lead by Graham Mitchell and Cameron Hede, in a team that included former East Perth Player and current Reserves Coach Adam Pickering. Up and coming Royal, Trent Bradshaw showed he hits a long ball by winning the longest drive competition.
The fun continued into the night with MC, Russell Wolfe providing some very funny East Perth anecdotes over a buffet dinner. Auctioneer, Jay McDonald aided the club in raising over $22,000 in the auction with some fantastic items donated by Geoff Kendrick, Chris Taylor and our friends at Fraser’s, The West Australian, Travel and Sports Australia, hit!92.9 and the West Coast Eagles.
A big thanks goes out to Fiona, Matt and the team at Joondalup Resort for putting on a great day. The Golf Day is one of our major fundraisers and in addition to the auction, the club, through the generosity of our corporate partners was able to raise over $45,000 to go towards the continued improvement of facilities and to funding club resources to develop our city and country zones.
