Joint 2017 FD Book Medallists Nathan Blee and Julian Ameduri headline recent re-signings for the upcoming 2019 WAFL Season. Nathan has re-signed for 1 year, while Julian has extended through to the end of the 2020. Reserves Grand Final Captain, Nathan Eaton, has also put pen to paper for the next 2 seasons as he presses his case to become a regular league footballer.

Joe McKay wins 2018 Bernie Hughes Award

The 2018 Bernie Hughes Award for 2018 was presented at the Annual Bernie Hughes Xmas Lunch which was held at the Leederville Sporting Club.

The 2018 recipient of the Award was Joe McKay from the East Perth Football Club Past Players and Officials Association.

The Award was presented to Joe by Lynette and Philip Hughes on behalf of the Hughes Family and Bernie Hughes (deceased).

Royals Hit The Ground Running

The Royals have just completed week 3 of their pre-season program. 93 players have taken to the training track in those 3 weeks all eager to impress for their chance to play for East Perth in Season 2019

Royals sign on Angus Scott & Rohan Kerr

East Perth Football Club are pleased to officially announce the signings of Angus Scott and Rohan Kerr, both on 2 years contracts, through to the end of the 2020 WAFL Seasons.

 

Both players have originally come from the Dandenong Stingrays in the TAC Cup competition, but their football journeys have gone different ways.

WESTERN Australia's AFL Draft hopefuls are eagerly anticipating the first round of selections from 3.30pm WA time in Melbourne today, Thursday, November 22.

The draft will take place over two days at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, with the first round tonight and the rookie draft and later rounds to follow from 9am WA time on Friday, November 23.

WAFC Commissioner Elections

The West Australian Football Commission, the controlling body of football in Western Australia, is seeking expressions of interest from persons wishing to be considered for appointment as a Commissioner.  The role of the Commission is to oversee the promotion, development and management of football throughout the State and provide guidance, planning and leadership to all levels of the game.

Football in WA is currently going through its most significant period of reform since the introduction of the Perth-based AFL teams. In addition to AFL football relocating to Perth Stadium in 2018, a 5-year WAFC Strategic Plan has been developed that sets a new vision for football in WA under the 3 strategic pillars of Engagement, Talent & Sustainability.
