The East Perth Football Club aims to build a reputation as the most professional club in the WAFL. Fundamental to developing a strong and competitive football club culture, is the role of Colts Coach.
Reporting to the Talent Manager, this role is responsible for coaching the East Perth Colts football team and set the standard of excellence in line with the EPFC strategic plan and values.
The Colts Coach is an integral part of our club’s Football Operations Team and will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and delivery of a professional football program based around developing future WAFL and AFL talent.
You will also be the key driver in instilling a strong club culture that strives for individual growth, team success and a strong presence within the West Australian Football League
Key focus for this position:
- Plan, Prepare, Execute and Review the Colts Football Program in 2026
- Lead the Coaching and culture of the Colts list to create a professional, positive and learning environment.
- Develop close working relationships with Talent Manager, General Manager of Football, Senior coaches, other Talent coaches, support staff, volunteers and WA Football Talent staff.
- Focus on player and coach development
- Understanding of the EPFC metro and regional zones
- Current coaching philosophy.
To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
- Minimum Level 2 Coaching Accreditation, aspiring to Level 3.
- Recent Coaching experience within the WAFL, State Academy or Amateur football.
- Extensive understanding of WA football structure and the issues involved in the talent pathway.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in working with a range of stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and relationship building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operations in a timely, organised, and professional manner.
- High level strategic thinking acumen.
- Demonstrated leadership capability.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours.
- Current Working with Children Check.
