East Perth will look to keep their undefeated 2025 campaign rolling when they face off against Perth this Saturday night at Mineral Resources Park. Sitting 3-0 and gaining confidence after a gutsy Round Three comeback win over Claremont, the Royals head into this Round Four match-up with momentum and belief on their side. Players to Watch
Mitch Schofield: One of the highlights of last week’s game was seeing Mitch Schofield back in action. Schofield looked great upfront in his return game kicking two goals and will be looking to add more this week.
Hamish Brayshaw: The Royals co-captain is again proving to be one of the competition’s premier inside midfielders. Brayshaw continued his consistent form with 24 disposals and ten inside 50s against Claremont.
Will Cassidy: The exciting young small forward has been a great inclusion in the team so far this season. Last week, Will laid a game-high ten tackles and he has also scored four goals across the first three games of the season.
Scott Jones: Jones is once again showing signs as to why he is the best ruckman in the league. With an average of 39 hitouts and 17 disposals a game to start the season, he should be big for the Royals again in this match.
The Opposition
Perth have showed signs of improvement so far in the 2025 season. They’ve added some quality players to this list in the off season and have produced two wins in the first three games of the season. Recent meetings between these teams however have all been in favour of East Perth. The Royals have won the last five games against Perth by an average of 49 points. Perth fell just short of victory in the last game against East Perth coming from 42 points down midway through the third quarter to lose by less than two goals. This traditional ANZAC Day clash looks to be a super matchup in 2025 and the Royals will need to be switched on from the start.
