Players to Watch
Tyler Lindberg: After a strong month of footy in the Reserves, Tyler Lindberg has earned a call-up for his league debut this weekend. Tyler has come through the club from the futures/colts program, and we are very excited to see what he can do in the league side on Saturday.
Scott Jones: We have another player hitting the 100 East Perth games milestone this week, and that one of the premier ruckmen in the WAFL, Scott Jones. Scott has been such a big part of the club for many years, and there is no doubt he will put on a big performance in his milestone match.
Tom Medhat: Tom Medhat is in near career-best form right now on the back of a 22 disposal, four goal game in his last outing. Expect to see Tom as the main target down in the forward line this week as he looks to add a couple more goals and a high-flying marks to his tally this weekend.
The Opposition
West Perth have had one of its most challenging seasons in recent times this year. However, there is still an opportunity for them to secure a spot in the top five and winning this week will go a long way in helping them get there. At their best, West Perth are a great attacking team and has no problem putting a big score on the board. Tyler Keitel currently leads the race in the Bernie Naylor award again this season with 37 goals, and he will require some attention in this game. In saying that, East Perth have won the last three matches against this team and will take confidence from that into this game. The derby matchup always brings high intensity and great contests among the teams, and that same thing can be expected this week.
