Round 14 Football Department Update
Round 14 v SWAN DISTRICTS Football Department Update
The League side made it 3 wins in a row with a 38pt victory over Perth at Leederville Oval last week. Some strong performances all over the ground with Scott Jones dominating the ruck, Angus Schumacher the pick of the midfielders, Brad Fullgrabe really strong in defence and Tom Medhat kicking 5 goals. New recruit Nicholas Bonomelli also impressed with 4 goals in his East Perth debut after crossing over from East Fremantle before the transfer deadline.
The result sees us at 6-6 and within striking distance of the top 5. Needless to say that the next two games against Swan Districts and Peel Thunder are going to be huge with regards to our finals aspirations.
We take on Swan Districts out at Bassendean on Saturday and with wind and rain on the forecast we are expecting a real slog of a game. Swans have been in good form this season and narrowly lost to South Fremantle last week so they will be hungry for a win on their home deck.
THE LEAGUE SQUAD
Just the one change for the League Squad heading into Round 14 with Skipper Jackson Ramsay returning to the side after being out last week due to Health and Safety Protocols. Elijah Taylor makes way after being omitted from the side.
EMG: Sandon PAGE, Thomas GRAHAM, Taylor NORTH, Harley SPARKS, Ethan REGAN
INS: Jackson RAMSAY
OUTS: Elijah TAYLOR
THE RESERVES SQUAD
The Reserves are still within reach of a Top 5 finish despite a 3-7 record due to as tightly contested Reserves Ladder which sees the 5th-9th placed sides all sitting on 3 wins (12pts). A number of changes this week with players returning from illness and long term injuries. Shayne Hille returns from hamstring injuries which have kept him sidelined since Round 4 along with Adam Boules who started the season strongly and returns from a knee injury sustained back in May. Tom Wallis (hamstring) & Gordon Narrier (calf) also return from injury this week while Ethan Regan, Harley Sparks & Thomas Graham have returned form illness last week and will suit up in the Reserves.

THE COLTS SQUAD
The Colts will travel over to Steel Blue Oval to face the Swan Districts Football Club. Bouncedown is 9:00am; 10 minutes earlier than normal.
With most of our PSA players returning to play school football, we have made 4 changes to the side that played in last week’s win v Perth. Into the side comes Harry Micallef (Noranda JFC) and Bienfat Kihusa (Bayswater JFC); both these boys returning to the side after a few weeks at their community clubs. Jordyn Baker (Noranda JFC) returns from the WA18’s program; it’s great to have Jordy back in the blue and black. Our last inclusion this week will make his EPFC debut, after crossing from another WAFL club during the summer, he has worked very hard for his opportunity, seen off some injuries as well as training in a new position to his normal midfield role. Consistently playing well T/A’s in the PFL we look forward to seeing him bring all his strengths on Saturday. Congratulations to Alexander (Lex) Homsany.
Daniel Curtis (Colts Head Coach) will also step into the senior coaches box this week to work with the midfield in the absents of Ross McQueen.
