2022 F.D. Book Medal Night
Capping a stellar season in the black and blue, Hamish Brayshaw was awarded the 2022 FD Book Medal as our League Fairest and Best player in front of over 170 players, members and guests.
A clear favourite heading into the night, after being a runner up in the 2022 Sandover Medal, Hamish’s early season performances, including five best afield matches in the first 12 rounds, saw him out to an unassailable lead.
Scott Jones finished the year strongly and was named Runner-Up, whilst Stan Wright received the recognition, he deserved for his breakout year finishing third.
'I spent time at East Perth in 2018, my first year in WA, and I fell in love with the place.’ Hamish said onstage.
Paying homage to the history of the FD Book Medal, Hamish thanked the Club for welcoming him back in 2022.
‘This was the most enjoyable year of footy that I have ever had. Me and the boys can’t wait to get stuck in for season 2023.’
The Club was fortunate to have all three of Fred Books sons, Alan, Colin and Laurie in attendance once again.
Mandy Anderson presented the Jeremy Silcock Trademark Awards on behalf of the Silcock family to Christian Ameduri, Angus Schumacher and Ethan Regan.
Congratulations to all our award winners for 2022 and thank you to all that attended the night!
