Lee to captain WA in clash with NEAFL
Tuesday, May 20, 2014 - 9:43 AM
EAST Perth's Brendan Lee has been named WAFL State Team Captain ahead of the clash with the North Eastern Australian Football League in Sydney this Saturday, May 24.
Lee is the fourth East Perth player in five years to captain WA following Luke Webster (2010), Craig Wulff (2012) and Paul Johnson (2013).
Lee was not included in the initial squad because of injury sustained in a pre season match against Swan Districts. But was later selected following outstanding form upon his return. He racked up 31 possessions in back to back games against East Fremantle and then Claremont and was subsequently added to the squad.
Paul Bevan (Perth) and Tallan Ames (Swan Districts) are vice captains.
