Ross McQueen Commits to the Royals for Two More Seasons

East Perth Football Club is proud to announce that senior coach Ross McQueen has extended his contract for a further two seasons, committing to the Royals until the end of the 2028 season.

Since taking the reins, McQueen has played a pivotal role in shaping a strong and competitive program both on and off the field. Under his leadership, the League side has qualified for two Grand Finals and achieved an impressive 65%-win record.

CEO James Sansalone expressed his confidence in McQueen’s vision and ability to guide the playing group forward.

“This extension is a reflection of the progress we’re seeing throughout the program and our belief that Ross is the right person to lead us to success into the future,” Sansalone said.

General Manager – Football Operations Warren Parker also praised McQueen’s impact and leadership.

“This club is fortunate to have the calibre of coaches, players and support staff that we do,” Warren said.

“Since being appointed Senior Coach, Ross has shown a strong ability to unite all areas of the program and drive standards that have delivered results while helping build a strong culture across the club.

“This extension is a deserved recognition of the work he has done so far and reflects the confidence the club has in Ross and the direction of our program moving forward.”

McQueen said he is proud to continue leading the club and is excited about what lies ahead.

“I’m proud to extend my time as Senior Coach of East Perth Football Club and look forward to building on what we’ve worked hard to establish over the past few years,” McQueen said.

“I have the privilege of working alongside a terrific group of coaches and support staff, coaching an outstanding group of young men, and experiencing the support of the best members, supporters and volunteers in the game.

“I’d like to thank Bronte, the Board, James and the wider club for their continued support and for the opportunity to keep leading this program. I’m excited by what the future holds for our club.”

The extension provides important continuity for the playing group and football department, with a clear focus on sustained growth and performance.
