Around the Grounds – final round of footy

Can you believe it – the final round of the home-and-away season is almost upon us! We have a heap of fun and exciting competitions and events planned for fans at all four games this Saturday as we celebrate the final round of the season before finals fever hits.

Swan Districts v Claremont | Steel Blue Oval 2.15pm

Swan Districts Football Club will host their Members and Supporters Day during their Round 21 clash against Claremont this Saturday.

Supporters and members are invited to a free panel discussion featuring some of the great past players from both clubs including the likes of Ron Boucher, Graham Moss, Barry Beecroft, Stan Nowotny, Michael Mitchell and Bill Skwirowski. The panel will be taking place in the upstairs main bar between 1pm to 2pm.

The ‘Bin It, to Win It’ competition will take place at the main break. The first to kick the footy into the bin will win $100.

The Swans Play Zone will be up and running for the entire day. The zone will feature a number of free games, activities and competitions including laser tag, bucking bull, a bouncy castle and giants games.

There will also be a drawing table, face painting and handball competitions to win prizes.

East Fremantle v South Fremantle | East Fremantle 2.15pm

Get down to Shark Park for East Fremantle’s final game of the season and their last match with Rob Wiley at the helm.

Grab yourself a freshly ground coffee at the game from the 9 Seeds cart located at the grandstand.

Pop into the club’s merchandise sea container for some Sharks’ goodies. You can also drop off your Raffle books to Julie in the sports store or purchase tickets to the Proud Mary event. 

Happy Hour will begin at 6pm during the post-match awards in the main social hall.

Peel Thunder v East Perth | Bendigo Bank Stadium 2.15pm
 

Footy and cars – what a great mix! Head to Mandurah this weekend to watch some great local footy and check out some awesome cars on display as part of the WA Variety Bash Down South Tour at the main break.

Variety Club WA Choir will perform at the Presidents Lunch and one lucky Variety child will toss the coin prior to bouncedown of the League game.

Cheer Dance Express will be performing throughout the day.


Subiaco v Perth | Leederville Oval 2.15pm

Subiaco will host their final match of the home-and-away season when Perth travel to Leederville Oval this Saturday.

It will be a big day for the Subiaco Football Club as off-field the club officially open their new Corporate space, the Corporate Deck, while on-field Subiaco will look to complete its regular season with a win before a first week bye as finals commence.

The Leederville Sports Bar will be open from 11am. With live sport on all day across all nine screens in the Sports Bar and the attached Rooftop Beer Garden.

Great Northern Pints will be available in the Leederville Sports Bar all day for $6 and hamburgers, footy chips, continental rolls and all your food favourites will be available at Topolini’s TO-GO, located upstairs in the alfresco area alongside the Subiaco bar.

The end of year merchandise special box will be out, with a host of great Subiaco merchandise items available to be purchased at hot prices. Visit the team store from 12.15pm to grab yourself a Lions bargain!
