Media Statement - Partnership Model
The Club notes recent social media and print media commentary around the partnership arrangement with the West Coast Eagles.
As previously advised by the Club, the Board is yet to make a decision regarding the future of the partnership and is cognisant of the variety of views of members and supporters. Those views and the sentiments of other Club stakeholders will be taken into account, as will the effects of decisions taken by the WAFC in the wake of the Boston Consulting Group’s recent report.
Subject to any significant change being announced by the WAFC to the structure of the WAFL, it is likely that the Board will make a decision on the partnership model within the next four to six weeks.
The issues facing WAFL clubs are myriad and complex. The future direction of the WAFL competition itself is uncertain.
What is undoubtedly certain is that the East Perth Football Club can be judged to be both financial and stable. The Board’s focus is the Club’s long-term sustainability.
While our League results so far this season have been disappointing it is worth taking into account the Club’s overall performances since 2013.

The Board respects the views of all of its members and supporters. The Board encourages those supporters who are not members but have strong views on such matters to join the Club and make their voices heard in the most relevant forum.
