Colts Day Camp No 2
The colts group held their second day camp and decided to meet at a half way point for country and metro players at Leschanult Recreational Park in Australind, were we could get everyone together to continue to progress our skill development and get to know each other. The metro boys left from Leederville Oval at 7.30am on a bus meeting our country based players for a 2 hour skills session.
Throughout the pre-season the metro group have been training two nights per week at Altone Park in Beechboro while the country players have been working hard in their local areas with two sessions per week held by regional coaches with the support of EP coaching staff. The session gave the coaching staff an opportunity to work with the entire playing group and gain an understanding of how the group has progressed since the start of pre-season.
"We were really pleased with the intensity of training and to see the continual development of players. The application of the players over the last 3 weeks has been pleasing, we are looking to build on that over the coming weeks before we begin to play practice matches”.
The training session was followed by lunch and an education session to add to understanding the players gained from the training session. The EP colts will play an intra-club practice match on February 24 at Augusta Margaret River FC.
