ANZAC Round 4 match previews
THE ANZAC Round of the 2018 WAFL season begins on Thursday night under lights at Leederville Oval and culminates with the now traditional Fremantle Derby on Sunday with two more fascinating contests on Saturday in between.
It's Round 4 of the 2018 WAFL season and it gets underway on Thursday night with Subiaco hosting Claremont from 7.10pm. The game will be shown live on 7mate from 7pm.
Subiaco has been remarkably dominant to open the season beating East Perth by 118 points, South Fremantle by 58 and Swan Districts by 96. Claremont will try to challenge them following its first win of the season in a heart stopper last week against East Fremantle.
There are then two matches on Saturday afternoon with Swan Districts playing West Perth at Steel Blue Oval, and Perth hosting East Perth at Lathlain Park. Both games are now becoming regular fixtures of ANZAC Round as well.
The round concludes on Sunday afternoon with what has now become an annual ANZAC Derby between arch rivals East Fremantle and South Fremantle. The game will take place from 2.40pm on Sunday and will be shown live on Channel 7.
Remarkably, the Bulldogs have won their last eight visits to Shark Park heading into the contest.
Reigning premiers Peel Thunder has the bye coming off consecutive losses to Swan Districts and Perth.
