TEAM: Two changes for clash with Falcons
East Perth has been forced two changes to its side that will take on West Perth in the Perth Derby at Provident Financial Oval tomorrow.
Defenders Corey Watts and Jamie Rudrum are unavailable for selection due to injury. Watts dislocated his finger in the first quarter of the Royals’ win over East Fremantle last weekend, while Rudrum suffered a concussion. Both players are expected to return for next weekend's match against Claremont.
Callum Hart and Jacob Msando will replace the duo, playing their first league match of 2020. Hart brings plenty of experience, having played 70 league games since his debut in 2013. Msando, a small, rebounding defender and 2018 Hec Strempel Medallist, will play his fourth league match for the Royals.
Wingman Rohan Kerr will celebrate his 100th WAFL match milestone, fittingly against the Falcons, the club he won a premiership with.
In the Reserves, Shaquille McKenzie will play his first game of the season, returning from a calf injury sustained during the pre-season. 19-year-old Claremont recruit Jack Cooley will make his debut for the Royals. He was a member of the Tigers’ 2019 Colts premiership winning team. In further news, Christian Ameduri has recovered from a rib injury that kept him out of the Reserves win over the Sharks in Round 3. The 21-year-old has also been named as an emergency for the League side.
League bouncedown is at 2.30pm at Provident Financial Oval in Joondalup, with the match broadcast live on 91.3 Sport FM. The Reserves will be hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the season, while the Colts will be hoping to bounce back from last week’s loss. Reserves bouncedown is at 12.00pm, while Colts is at 9.30am. The Rogers Cup Women's team will play Swan Districts on Sunday, August 9 at 11.00am.
