East Perth Vs West Coast Match Preview
Tale of the Tape – The Royals moved up to 8th spot and equal on points with three other sides after an important win against an undermanned Perth. Going in unchanged for the first time this season, East Perth had the better of the Demons for three quarters, slowly stretching the lead to 36 points. A rampaging Perth sprung to action in the last quarter to get within seven points, however the Royals held on for the four points.
West Coast are a vastly improved outfit from the one East Perth faced a month ago. A few good wins and improved performances on the back of a healthier list has breathed life into the West Coast season. Whilst unable to make finals the Eagles will be an important hurdle for many sides looking to make finals
The Ins and Outs – The Royals will go in unchanged for the third consecutive week
The Eagles lose their best two players from last weeks effort against Subiaco with Mark Hutchings and Jake Waterman being promoted to the senior side. Jackson Nelson will come into the side, with another five players up for the last spot in the 22
Last time they met – Both teams went into the clash searching for their first wins of the season. A seven-goal last quarter in the wet saw the Royals triumph by 57 points. Rohan Kerr gathered 46 touches whilst Aiden Lynch had 35 to go with an inaccurate 1.4
Stat of the Week – After a huge 54 hit outs in Round 15 Scott Jones has climbed to 3rd in the hit out tally board for 2021
