Taylor Signs With The Royals
Elijah Taylor has signed with the Royals for the 2022 pre-season as part of a transfer that will see Ajang Ajang train with Perth Football Club.
‘Elijah is a young man, a talented footballer, who we look forward to assisting and guiding through a pivotal time in his development’ East Perth Board Member Kim Farmer said today
‘As a Club we do not condone acts of violence or any breaches of the community and our Club's safety and good standing.’ Ms Farmer continued
‘However, Elijah acknowledges his wrong doings and with the support of his family he is committed to working towards redeeming himself.’
‘We recognise Elijah's youth and the measures he has taken to address his actions and the Club is committed to give him support and an opportunity to continue to learn from his mistakes, whilst, returning to play at a State League level in the WAFL in 2022.’
Taylor has completed education sessions required as part of an agreement with the AFL to remain eligible for future drafts.
‘East Perth understands its position within the community, and the role we can play in helping young people better themselves.’ CEO Dean Turner said about Taylor training with the Club.
Turner continued ‘We are confident that with the steps and education Elijah continues to undertake, along with the support systems the Club has and are continuing to develop, Elijah can reach his full potential as a person.’
The 20-year-old ex-Sydney Swan has a number of personal connections with East Perth which lead to the Royals being his Club of choice in returning to WAFL football.
