Jack 'Mr Football' Sheedy
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of the great Jack Sheedy at the age of 96. ‘Mr Football’ joined East Perth as Captain-Coach in 1956 after an already stellar career with East Fremantle. He led the Royals to four grand final appearances, resulting in three Premierships in 1956, 1958 and 1959. Jack is an East Perth Life-Member, inaugural Hall of Fame inductee, Team of The Century member (1945-2005). He was a much-loved member of the Club, regularly attending functions and match days. He was a master storyteller with many members and supporters revelling in his accounts of his days at the Royals.
Thank you Jack, you will always be one of the greats of East Perth and WA football!
