Total Player Payments (TPP) Audit Outcome
The East Perth Football Club has undergone a comprehensive auditing process over the past six months, which the club is pleased to report has been completed without findings of any salary cap breaches or major sanctions.
As part of this process, a breach of the Total Player Payment regulations was identified with regard to a Fringe Benefit Payment made to a player in the 2023 season. That amount of this payment has been retrospectively included in the club's 2023 TPP submission. With this payment included, the Club's TPP amount was still within the WAFL’s salary cap amount.
The club has accepted a fine of $2,000 in relation to the undeclared amount.
The FBT was excluded under the advice of the Club’s former bookkeepers. The Club has since employed the services of a new bookkeeper and accounting processes have since been updated to ensure this does not happen in the future.
The club thanks its members and supporters for their patience throughout this lengthy process.
