'Marbles' Awarded Life Membership
Former CEO, Alex ‘Marbles’ Wilson was awarded Life Membership of the East Perth Football Club on Sunday, January 19, at the Annual General Meeting held in the Members Bar at Medibank Stadium.
‘Marbles’ was awarded the honour after 28 years of loyal and successful service to the club. Mr. Wilson, joined East Perth in 1984 from a management role at the once famous Blue Note Tavern and managed the club through great success including the hat-trick of premierships from 2000-2002.
During the AGM, Bronte Howson was elected for his 16th year as President, serving his 20th year as an East Perth board member. Tom Percy QC was also re-elected as a Board Member (marking 21 years on the board).
David Christison and Martin Mileham were also elected as new members of the board.
The club is extremely fortunate to have gained the services of David and Martin and the wealth of knowledge and expertise they bring. Read more about David and Martin here.
