Colts Camp
The Colts Camp for 2014 was held last weekend at Medibank Stadium. A group of 56 players and some coaching staff spent Friday night in the East Perth Members Bar. Friday night’s activities started with games of lawn bowls and some light hearted fun at the Lake Monger Bowling Club. Dinner was provided by the East Perth Past Players and Officials before the players tried to get an early night before a big day.
The boys were up nice and early at 5.30am for a very tough running and skills session. After breakfast East Perth league captain Craig Wulff spoke to the playing group about Mental Toughness and building a personal trademark. Craig’s presentation was a perfect lead into our Sports Psychologist David Anthony‘s mental toughness workshop. David took the boys for some goal setting to set them up for season 2014.
The players had a long day of meetings about game plans, leadership skills and expectations before they finished the day off with a series of Team Building game with Team Works Development. After a long day of hard work and concentration the boys performed really well and got a lot out the entire camp leading towards the beginning of the season.
Thanks must go to the Loton’s Club and the East Perth Past Players and Officials for their support and helping make the camp possible.
