2014 Corporate Classic
The East Perth Corporate Classic was held on Friday, March 7 in the Members Bar at Medibank Stadium.
Guests were joined by league coach Brian Dawson and President Bronte Howson, together with West Coast Eagles coach Adam Simpson and CEO Trevor Nisbett for a lunch.
The panel answered questions from club director and MC David Christison about the season ahead.
Dawson suggested that the ladder wouldn’t vary too much from 2013, but thought that Perth stood as a surprise potential contender particularly in this year’s Finals Series.
“Look I think it’s pretty hard to read but, for me certainly I think West Perth will be one of the better sides, no doubt, I think East Fremantle have probably bolstered their ranks a bit, so I think they’ll be one of the team’s that we’ll have to look out for”, he said.
“It’s hard to read the rest, Perth have been floating around for a while and haven’t pushed through to make a finals berth, they need to crack it at some stage. We’re comfortable at where we’re at and we certainly feel we’ve got the capability across the ranks to certainly be one of the challengers”.
East Perth sponsors were given the opportunity to purchase tickets in the Corporate Classic with three major prizes up for grabs.
Worldwide Print claimed 1st Prize, valued at $75 000.
The winning package included the winning company logo on the front of all the 2014 League and Reserves playing guernsey’s, as well as perimeter fence signage, a radio advertising package with 92.9, scoreboard signage, a 6-seater VIP box at East Perth home games amongst other opportunities.
Castrol and Fleet Network won second and third prize.
Auctioneer Tiny Holly kept the guests entertained.
