Royals down Thunder
East Perth have continued their winning form downing Peel Thunder by 63-points, 16.13 (109) to 6.10 (46), in NAIDOC Round at Medibank Stadium on Saturday.
The victory makes it eight consecutive wins for the Royals who remain on top of the ladder after Round 15.
It was an good afternoon for the Royals with the club also notching wins in the Reserves and Colts.
Josh Smith kicked four goals with Mitch Howlett, Dom Sheed, Steven Wityk and Ash Smith all booting two goals each.
Craig Wulff and Steven Payne led the midfield gathering 27 possessions each for the Royals, Brendan Lee had 26, Nathan Blee 26, Sheed 25, Mitchell Fraser 23, Brant Colledge 22 and Freddie Clutterbuck 21.
Paul Johnson was brillant in the ruck in the absence of Callum Sinclair who was an emergency for the Eagles match with Sydney yesterday. He had 21 hit outs, 17 touches, eight marks kicked a goal. He shared the load with Fraser McInnes who had nine hit outs and 16 disposals in his 50th WAFL game.
East Perth will now face an East Fremantle side that have won six in a row.
RESERVES
The Reserves, 14.10 (94) to 6.13 (49), 45-point win was bolstered through strong performances from Jobe Macshane who kicked three goals, Dean Cadwallader, Matt Blackley, Dylan Main and Lewis Wilson kicked two each. While, Dan Allsop, Matt Gordon and Tom Shanahan kicked singles.
Shanahan had 24 possessions, Ameduri 23, and Cadwallader 22.
Jordan Dobson gathered 16 touches in his first game since 2012 returning from injury.
Marcus Coli and Agid Gardoud also performed well for the Royals who sit second on the ladder.
COLTS
The Colts are just percentage out of the top four heading into the business end of the season following their, 13.12 (90) to 9.7 (61) win.
Kaine Buckley and Linford Smith kicked three goals, while Tyler Ipsen kicked two, Jack Hick, Nijal Eades, Mitch Walsh, Mitch Dobson and Tom Gorter kicked singles.
Zach Dent had 26 possessions, Marty Zambotto had 22, and Kane Hadden had 22.
