Wonderful show of generosity for PMH and Telethon
ON the same week that East Perth will celebrate Telethon Day, Sean Carren from Goldstar Transport has kindly donated an auction item he bought from our Banquet Auction donated by the West Coast Eagles to PMH.
The Dean Cox Experience will give 12 children the opportunity to visit the Eagles led by former East Perth player and retiring ruckman Dean Cox.
“PMH is a fantastic facility, some of those kids will never get the chance let alone get that experience, so you have to give something back. I’ve got two healthy girls”, he said.
The experience will include a personally escorted tour of the West Coast Eagles player change rooms and inner sanctum for 12 kids, a signed jumper and the opportunity for the children to have their photo taken with the big man.
“Dean seems like a quality player, he has good values, it’s worth passing onto the kids and you only get one chance at making an impression on young people’s lives and if they get a good impression then that’s a good thing”, Carren said.
“I’m sure when it happens we’re going to have a photographer there on the day and besides the jumper they get as a part of the Dean Cox experience, we’ll make sure that they end up with a CD with some photos on it”.
Carren also hopes to be able to give the children merchandise vouchers so they can go shopping with Cox in the Eagles team store.
“You’ve gotta help kids out; it’s what it’s about”, he said.
