Royals continue on winning way

EAST Perth have continued their winning form over Swan Districts with an 18-point, 16.13 (109) to 14.7 (91), win in wet conditions at Medibank Stadium on Saturday.

They overcame a Swans side that led at every change. Swan Districts had the breeze in the final quarter and an Adam Faulkner goal from 55 metres out stretched the margin to nine points, but when the heavens opened early in the fourth, East Perth clicked into gear.

Royals face new breed of Swans at home

East Perth will go into tomorrow’s game full of confidence against a team that hasn’t beaten the club in almost two seasons.

East Perth and Swan Districts last met (prior to this pre-season) in the 2013 semi-final and will clash at Medibank Stadium tomorrow in the Royals’ first home game of 2014.

John served as a club statistician for 19 years from 1986 to 2004.
