Former Royal Named Hawthorn Captain

Congratulations to new Hawthorn Captain Ben Stratton!
Ben arrived at the Royals for the 2008 pre-season from Augusta-Margaret River Hawks. Making his league debut on 14th June 2008 at Lathlain Park, the tough defender came 6th in the FD Book Medal the following year. Barnard back to restore Royals culture

WHILE under no illusions about the job ahead to turn East Perth back into a competitive standalone WAFL outfit, as a favourite son of the Royals Jeremy Barnard is all about restoring the club's culture built around the never-say-die attitude.
East Perth will return to being a standalone club in the 2019 WAFL season as the alignment with the West Coast Eagles comes to an end.
That means that the Eagles will now have their own club in the WAFL from 2019 onwards while the Royals will return to their traditional roots of not having the West Coast aligned players in the league and reserves teams on the weekend.

East Perth AGM 2019

East Perth's Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday the 10th of February in the East Perth Members Bar at Leederville Oval. The meeting was attended by over 100 members

Optus says Yes to new era of WAFL

A new West Australian Football League Women’s (WAFLW) competition will kick off in 2019, with five teams to compete in the inaugural Optus WAFLW Premiership Season. East Fremantle, Claremont, Peel Thunder, Subiaco and Swan Districts will each field a WAFLW team in 2019, with South Fremantle receiving a provisional license for 2020.
West Australian Football Commission CEO Gavin Taylor said the WAFLW competition was an exciting step forward for football in WA that would complete the talent development pathway from Auskick to AFLW.
