Royals remain focused

Monday, August 31, 2015 - 4:48 PM - by Jake Smith

If Saturday’s showdown against the minor premiers is anything to go by, it was certainly a tasty sample for what’s to come in the finals. Subiaco finished the day on top, and the season on top after a testing 9.14 (67) to 9.9 (63) win over the Royals. Tom Lamb opened the account for East Perth on Sunday, kicking back-to-back goals within three minutes of each other. It was a dominant start from a fired up Royals side who managed to keep Peel to just four behinds in the first quarter. Co-captains Brendan Lee and Craig Wulff worked seamlessly in attack to help put East Perth ahead by 20 points at quarter time.
